What are wedding bands?
A wedding band is a ring given to someone by their spouse at their marriage ceremony to represent their union. Steeped in symbolism, the round shape is said to represent eternity, while the open centre serves as a doorway to the future.
In Australia, the wedding ring is usually worn on the left ring finger before the engagement ring. It was believed that the ‘vena amoris’ or ‘vein of love’ connected this finger, and therefore the wedding ring, to the heart. However, depending on culture, the wedding ring can also be worn on the right hand.
A wedding ring is traditionally crafted from gold, although platinum has become a popular choice for a wedding set.

Depending on the design of the engagement ring, these wedding bands may be crafted with a jigsaw edge or with a curve for a seamless pairing.
Pairing your engagement ring with a contrasting style has been an increasingly popular choice amongst brides-to-be. Originally popularised during the art deco period, wearing a wedding band that compliments your engagement ring makes your wedding set uniquely yours. Consider mixing metals or including coloured gemstones to add something special to your wedding ring.

How much does it cost to design an engagement ring?
There are many variables that will affect the price such as the type of stone chosen, stone size, how many side stones and how much gold or Platinum will be used in the ring. We can give you a quote straight away once you have made all of your selections.
Are custom engagement rings more expensive?
Custom engagement rings are slightly more expensive than our stock ring designs, yet still very affordable. We only charge a nominal custom fee to account for extra design and labour. Normal charges apply for the type of stone chosen, stone size, how many side stones and how much gold or Platinum will be used in your custom engagement ring.
How can I customise my engagement ring?
We can customise any ring to your requirements. Just share your ideas with us, either in-store, by email or on a video call so we can finalise all of the details of the design. We will also be able to provide a quote for you on the spot. Once we have your approval on these details we will then draw up a CAD (Computer Aided Design) for your approval or to make any changes. Then we begin to craft your beautiful ring for you. This entire process usually takes around 4 – 6 weeks. It is an easy and straight forward process.
What if I don’t know my ring size?
We can send you a ring sizer that you can find out yourself, your correct ring size at home. We can start your custom designed process while you wait for the ring sizer to arrive.
I don’t live in near a store, can I do custom made order over email/phone?
Absolutely! We frequently do this for our customers internationally and around Australia. We have a Live Help option which enhances your shopping experience from the comfort of your home. This is as good as though you are shopping in-store.
How does live help work for a custom design consultation?
LIVE HELP is ideal if you want a detailed discussion about your custom-made engagement ring. Your consultant will show you our ring designs live and help narrow down the design to the one you want to customise. Or you can experience our exclusive Moi Moi My Ring Designer app, which will give you design specs, and an instant quote for your custom-made designs at the end of the virtual consultation.
What happens if I don’t like my ring when I receive it?
This in fact rarely happens, because the crafting of your ring only happens with your approval of the computer aided drawing (CAD) which shows all the design elements, measurements, angles of the ring so you can be assured as to what you will receive. Custom made is usually non-refundable but however, if you are not happy then we can remake it for you for a nominal sum.
